There are lots of ways to prepare an easy and healthier breakfast. The bottom line is to limit sugar, so that eliminates most boxed breakfast cereal. One of my favoite breakfasts is granola (one of the lower sugar options) mixed with some low-fat yogurt and and fresh berries such as blueberries or raspberries with some almonds on top. A couple eggs scrambled win the microwave with a little cheese mixed in is also an option. I have been known to wrap a protein bar (I like the Zone Bars) in one slice of cheese. I do recommend trying to limit carbs such as bread. Listed below are some other ideas.
