Please call the office at 401-625-1001 to schedule appointments. We schedule routine physicals and follow-ups. We do strive to get patients seen with urgents problems right away, either with Dr. Cummings or Nurse Practitioner Philip Pelletier.

When calling to schedule an acute sick visit, please emphasize to the receptionist the nature and acuity of the problem. We do our best to accomodate our patients. Sick visits, however, are to address ONE urgent problem, and other less acute problems as well as prevention and health maintenance issues can be addressed at a later follow-up visit.

We do maintain 6 lines for phone calls. We also have options to leave messages. The phone lines are generall open from 8am util 30 minutes before the office closes for the day. The phone lines do close for 30 minutes at lunch time.

To maintain open lines for urgent calls, please leave requests for prescription refills on the PRESCRIPTION LINE.

Dr. Cummings does have a 24 hour answering service. If you have an URGENT problem, you can leave a message with the answering service asking them to page the doctor to call you back. This should NOT be for routine matters such as prescription refills. If you do not receive a call back within 30 mins you should call back to have the doctor repaged.
